I Have A Cunning Plan...

I was watching the news on the tv last night, somewhat dismayed to see more talk from the 'evil ones' in government about raising taxes. As if we dont get shafted enough this side of the water

So, in a moment of inspiration, a cunning plan came to me. Instead of the usual 'LOVE' and 'HATE' tatoo's that people get on their knuckles, why not get 'VOTE' put on instead?

You can just see the picture, politician comes up to you in the street, smiling at you like you were his mistress, ( or boyfriend, ahem ), and utters the immortal words-

"I hope I can count on your vote"

Well, under such circumstances, it would be rude not to give it to him :D . He DID ask for it after all...

Damn taxes keep going up much more I will be renaming the Khuk!!!

Great idea Michael!

During my campaign for president of the student government back in college, we did exactly that. We called it " knock the vote"
Sometimes a body has to "reach out and touch someone.":D
Of course we here possess things ( some of us many of them) to facilitate that very thing!

No. It the money grabbing bastards who think they know better than me how to spend MY money!

Bah! You should see the sort of tax and duty I pay on Khuk's!

All the money that is being spent to stop the *%#@#@#**&^%*
terrorist had to come from somewhere. Don't get me wrong I'm proud of our people and the job they're set out to do,my brother is a lifer in the service but, the last political regeime we had in office cut military spending so much we could not gather information that could have stoped this from happening. Oliver North knew about Bin lodin when he was on trial and warned the board of inquirey about him but they just laughed and made fun of him.
Now another factory is shutting down 8 miles from here putting 400 people out of work and moving to Mexico for cheap labor and no EPA standards because the last man that was in office for 8 years dropped the import tax from Mexico. Now "WE" have to make up the difference in higher taxes. I'm sorry for such a rant and all the misspelled words. I agree we must remember to vote and "read" the issues not just vote because a certin party said so.

Wont happen.

But my idea... Well know. What could the Judge say in the court?

JUDGE: 'Has the accused anything to say before I pass sentence?'

ME: 'I merely gave him my 'vote' m'lord, just like he requested'

JUDGE: '10 years'

;)

Micheal the same thing is slowly happening here. Way back in the 50's it was called 'Creeping Socialism' don't know what monicker has been stuck on it in this day and age, but the same words still work for me.
People start calling things by different names forget the real meaning of why they were upset to begin with, dayum political correctness anyway!!!!!!

And as far as the ndn is concerned all of us would like to know where the absolute BILLIONS of dollars has gone from the good ol' BIA, Bureau Indin Affairs.

I imagine a lot of it was spent on 'affairs' just doubt very much the were of the ndn kind.  :barf: :barf:

I can remember the old rural mail carrier in Cherokee, KS telling me about the start of income tax. He said the first year it was a half percent or so and was guaranteed to be a stop gap temporary tax. Then went to one percent, then two, then 4 and so on until it's where it is today.

And I can remember myself when most states didn't have a sales tax. In Kansas it started when I was a small kid with tokens -- a 1/10th of a cent per dollar sales. Just an emergency measure that would go away when the bills got paid. Today I think it's about the standard 7 or 8 percent.

Once on the books taxes NEVER go away.

Try 17 1/2% sales tax, all for the privledge of being in the bloody EU!!!

Funnily enough, a friend of mine that earns a six figure salary was commenting today on his passionate hatred of income tax. He pays A LOT every month.

We have one. The land of the free (except for oppressive laws and taxes) and the home of the brave (except for the draft dodgers and others like them).

If you have the mind, patinace and the time, look into the tax laws.
There are some legal loopholes, so you can pay the goverment AFTER you recieve your money.
Also, look into something that you like that will make you money every day, day or night.

...are death and taxes. The question is, can they tax us to death before we can decorate telephone poles with their miserable carrion carcasses

I don't mind paying taxes for survices rendered. What I hate paying tax for are the waste and boondogles.
