Has a huge chip in the blade!

It makes me sick to look at it as this was my favorite knife. I was using it to chop... and missed!

I'm afraid to use it, it might snap or something. The chip is about 1mm wide and deep about 45% down from the blade tip.

Warranty Repair?

How do I fix this?

Hokay: Well we have all needed a little comforting at the times ( Patting on the back) , I use a lot of big blades, and one thing that has been invaluable is the handcrank stone grinding wheel; I guess you've figured this will completly kill your warranty, but it's better than letting a good blade go to waste. You have to study the grind of the blade determine the stone for the job , lube the area well and start in on it, if you have no expierience, than I suggest you consult Camillus or see a competant blade maker in your area.
Most do not want to touch factory blades after their initial heat treating. I have repaired minor dings and scratches, and then buffed like a madman to get the micro scratches out. I have repaired tips on Swiss Army knives even taken a Buck 110 apart for customizing , but you have to weigh the costs and the benefits before you start.....
