I feel like this change is going to put a lot more blades in a lot more hands. And more quickly!

This is going to be a whole new Swamp Rat....

I also feel like some of the new line will be shown real soon...maybe even this day...

I plan to buy the whole new line up twice. Gotta make sure that I have some to pass down to my boys... The only one I've passed down so far is an INFIcoot and that one to my 11 year old son.

Or maybe the good feeling is from the coffee

How about me? you dont have to actually adopt me- just bequeath me all your knives! Whatta deal! :D

You guys act like I have a whole bunch of knives or something

I only got like one or two...

well...on me anyhow...

I want in!

oh, wait a minute... It kinda hurts my paypal when I take knives from you -- but believe me, I'm not complaining!!!

I just hope there will be one similar to the Howling Rat, since I wanted one of those. It looks to be a great size for what I want.

It almost felt like Pop, er, I mean, Heavy adopted me when he sold me a Dog Skinner I really wanted several months ago!

Take er easy, Pop!

Maybe I'll just have to buy knives for my real dad, and let him pass them down to me. Hmmm, I wonder if he needs a Battle Rat. He could use it for everyday tasks like opening mail and cleaning his finger nails.

Everyone needs a Battle Rat! ;)

But if I were you, I'd skip the middle step and keep it for yourself. :D

The last time I saw him, my dad asked me about the old Spyderco Endura that I used to carry. Apparently he liked it. I filed that away, and started thinking about maybe getting him a carbon-fibre Military, or a Manix. I wonder how he'd respond to a Battle Rat and custom shoulder rig? He's probably never seen such a knife.

I was out ice fishing the other day, and I had my khukri with me. One of my new co-workers told me that he'd seen cheap khukris before, but never a real one. He said he couldn't figure out what you'd use it for, aside from killing someone. I told him that I used it for chopping. You could have seen the light go on behind his eyes, "I never thought of using a knife to chop anything. I thought it was bad for the blade." I just smiled, and told him that that was what it was designed for.

Another big knife convert. He'll be ordering his BR as soon as they are available. I don't think he's ready for the expense of a BM quite yet. Let's wait until he gets a few more paycheques under his belt.

On 27 March 2006, I got an e-mail from Swamp Rat, saying that the Howling Rats were in the works, and would be ready to ship in three to four weeks. According to my calendar, that means they should be shipping any time now. That gives me two good feelings. The first feeling is that I'm going to get my knives soon. The second feeling is that the new line will shortly be revealed.

I'm living on a dry reserve, and my wife is away visiting her family. I don't get many good feelings these days. Please don't take away those that I do have.:(
