I lost two close faimily members this spring. I've been absent from the shop
while careing for them. When I got the fire in the forge rekindled a week or so ago, I had the feeling something was missing. Could'nt put my finger on it right away. Was it the 30 ton press I've been considering, or maybe that metal cutting bandsaw thats been in the dreambook for so long. No, it wasn't any of those. Company! thats what was missing. Companionship. I needed something to help fill the void, machinery will not do that. PUPPYS will. So say a big hello to
Budo', my new forge dog.

Mother and brother will be sadly missed

That's awesome man... Too cool  :D

Edit: My apologies. I overlooked your loss. My prayers go out to you. But as the gentleman below me said, the companionship will help

Of course, Fred, your losses can´t be replaced, but this is the kind of company that never lets you down.

WOOOOW, Big paws. Keep the stag and ivory up high, no sense giving the puppy any high end doggy treats. Enjoy the companionship.

Most sad to hear of your loss.

That is one cute pup:) He won't replace those you lost, but will open a new and happy chapter in your life.

Nothing like a good shop dog to keep you company. Sorry about your lose.
My youngest dog hangs with me in the smithy or when working outside. :D

Sorry for your losses Fred, and Welcome Budo. The Wheel of Life is like that, always renewing itself. I hope someone as cute as Budo comes along to fill my own tracks when the time comes. :)

If my math is correct; Budo' is 8 weeks old today, he weights 13lbs and eats 3cups of dogfood every 24 hours. By the looks of the parents, he shouuld be in the 95lb. range. Now that adds up to a couple more knives a year, I'd think.
Damn good thing I like dogs and making knives. No problem, knifeAddict.
I'ts good to be back in the forge. Thanks for the support guys.
:D :D Fred
