I have a new Ronin neck knife coming in, I just bought it today. Does anyone have any information on this model from Spyderco. I know it was originally made by Mike Snody and Designed by Michael Janich.

It is one of the (if not the best) designed small belt knives/neck knives out there. The knife just plain cuts like mad and penetrates just as well. I believe the Ronin is the ultimate defensive concealable carry knife out there.

The one I am gettig is a production one from Spyderco.

Any info that Spydie experts can give me would be great.

I know it has G-10 handles, and tekloc belt attachment.

I will know more and have it in my hands by Friday this week!

DUH DOH and another DOH

I just did a search function thing and found tons of info from all of you on the RONIN!!!

Just gettin used to this forum.

NOW I REALLY CAN't wait until FRIDAY!

Great knife from what I have seen and read.

You're going to dig that Ronin. Exceptionally faithful reproduction Spyderco-style. I recently traded for a custom Ronin and comparing the two, Spyderco did an amazing job. Many ways to carry it. Very easy to conceal. Handles very well, cuts like the dickens.

If you decide to do a different sheath, Bladeforums and USN member Nosamk does an exceptional one. I should be gettiing mine pretty soon and I can't wait.

Don't have a Spyderco Ronin yet, but have a Snody Ronin that is a treasure. If Sal has got it to be anything like the original, it'll be a winner. I'll buy several when I get the chance. Too bad military duty is hampering my wallet.

Nuttin' like the real thing!

Keep em coming Sal.

This should be done in a trainer version. It is, first and foremost, make for combat. It's utility as a wharncliffe is excellent. They are inexpensive enough to get one for target practice and general use, and to have one for carry. But it does beg for a trainer.

For a homemade trainer, I was considering getting one, grinding down the sharpness and then maybe putting on a blunt aluminum faux blade cut on a bandsaw, attaching it to the actual blade using 3-M VHB foam tape, which has adhesive that is scary sticky.
