I've never had one before and I'm planning to buy one next week and I was just curious do these knives use washers or do they just ride on the G10?

Thin metal washers.

Edit: at least thats the way it is on the Voyager series; not sure about the Recon 1, etc.

They use washers. I've seen a Recon 1, a Voyager and a Spartan that all had washers.

I currently own a Ti-Lite and a Voyager, and they do use bronze washers.

Depends. The tuffs blade rides against the plastic (grivory).

At least on the mini, but I hope that that doesn't turn anyone off to the knife. It's quite excellent, along with the lock.

Yes, the larger Tuff Lite is the same way, just a very slightly raised "doughnut" of plastic is molded into the inner surface of each of the scales at the pivot, taking the place of washers. All other Tri-Ad equipped knives use washers, afaik, some use all bronze and others use a bronze/nylon combo.

Thanks for the information guys....the knife having or not having washers won't affect my purchase I was just curious.
