I have a question about the Cryo

What is the thing in the middle of the frame? and what is it for? I've noticed it on a lot of the Hinderer designs, I just have never known what it does.

Lock Bar Stabilizer (LBS). Makes it so that one cannot overextend the lock bar when they are closing the knife.

Is that generally a problem with these knives? Cause it seems pretty dang stout to me.

On the frame lock side? If so it's to stop you from overextending the lockbar when closing.

The problem is with the operator not the knife.

Its really just an "in case" type thing. Just to keep lockup where it should be, without bending the lockbar to a point where it won't engage properly. Its relativly easy to overextend it if you aren't paying attention. Plus it looks cool.
