I would say 'No'. I have even had a bit of trouble with a Texas DPS officer who had stopped me for a slight speeding violation (5mph over limit mid afternoon, clear roads, perfect weather) who kept eyeing my walking stick (5 feet long, semi-smoothed cedar, OBVIOUSLY dirty on one end)....(I like parentheses)....
Kept claiming it was a club. I kept explaining it was a walking stick and I was on my way to join some buddies hiking.
Just glad he didn't want to pick up my jacket....with my Highlander Bowie under it.
Got a ticket and a lecture about 'dangerous weapons', I didn't feel it was prudent to ask him if he harassed any of the numerous older gentlemen who walked the neighborhoods carrying a golf CLUB *hello!* with INTENT to use it as a weapon....
I think any stick with a piece of metal/spike/blade of any kind affixed would constitute a weapon and be subject to LEO question. Religion or not.
