Yesterday I recieved my Lrg micarta Insingo:) I love everything about it, I was checking it out alongside my plain lrg 21 and noticed theres a slight line where the lockbar has been milled( SORRY I don't have pics) my plain 21 doesn't have them and it was born Nov 28, 11 this Insingo was born a week ago the 16 to be exact. I'm just wondering what the line is for, if anything? I'm trying to learn everything I can about these knives I'm becoming addicted to:D. Did I mention this knife ROCKS!! if anyone is on the fence about the Insingo I say go for it. I'm already trying to find a small:eek: I won't bore u fine people anymore but if anyone has a cure for this sickness let me know ASAP

I'm not 100% sure that I understand what you're talking about, but I will take a guess.

There 1 or 2 lines at the base of the lockbar on certain models. I think it is there so that on the polished models, there is something to separate the polished handle from the bead-blasted lockbar.

As far as I know, it serves no functional purpose, it's purely aesthetic.

Sweet knife you got there. I hope to own a large (serrated) micarta Sebenza some day.

Quick cellphone shot.

But this is what he's talking about.

I am exactly not sure what it's for but
I would think its some kind of marking for an inlay version or something. Because on the polished versions that is where the polish ends and beadblast begins.

Ding! Ding! Ding! It marks the spot where we end the polish and start the sandblast on all wood and ivory inlaid knives.
