I made a trade today for a NIB Rainbow Leek that is heading my way tomorrow morning. Since I've never seen, or held one of these, someone please tell me what to expect. Also, I'm a "lefty", but it looks like this Leek will work ok for me anyhow as it's a frame-lock, and has the "flipper" thing to activate the SpeedSafe, as well as a pocket clip that can be moved for tip-up or tip-down carry.

I'm anxious!.:).

The Leek is my all around favorite for EDC. Its slender, pointy and fast.

Glockman, I don't think it's a good idea for you to have one, as they are very slick and you might cut yourself . :D:D:D:D:D

I am a south paw also. The leek is very accommodating to a lefty. You just have to be a bit more careful when closing it. And the clip on it is pretty much just for show.

It's a really cool knife. The coating on it is super tough. Opens nice and fast with some authority.

I can imagine. About an hour ago I received a Chive, and I'm VERY impressed with it, as this is the first Kershaw folder I've owned (or even played with) that has the "SpeedSafe", and I'm VERY impressed with how quick it snaps open. (I DO hope that I don't wear it out by playing with it so much...LOL.:D.).

Now, I REALLY am anxious to receive the Leek!..

Yep, thats how it starts, click, click, click.

Word to the wise, hide the rainbow from the spouse, mine took my rainbow Chive immediately after seeing it, then she ended up with a Pink one. She was scared of AO knives until she got one, now I'mm scared, lol

My dad was one to always carry an Old Timer(Nothing beats an Old Timer as he put it).......that was until I bought him a Chive a few years back. It's all he carries now and he loves it. :D

Well, I just received an email from the guy that I THOUGHT I had this trade with, and now he's backed-out, as he's mad at BladeForums for some unknown reason, and since I'm a moderator, he doesn't want to have anything to do with me.

Damn...:(..

Thomas W...I posted his email at "The Back End" if interested.

That bites glockman. Hope you get something worked out
or find another one somewhere else.

I'm not going to deal with that guy again :(, but I've re-listed my trade-offer, so maybe someone will have a (stainless, plain-edge) Leek to trade me.

Damn that does suck glockman. I feel your pain. I've been thinking of trying to trade my Kershaw E.T. for a PE Leek with the new steel. Hope things come through for you.

Well, since I no-longer have a Rainbow Leek on the way I'm closing this thread.
