Had anyone dyed their tweener sheath yet? How did it turn out?

I've got mine soaking in rit dye for the over night so if no one has yet I'll let ya know how it turns out.

Finally! I was waiting for someone to be a test subject on this, I really can't stand the tan one, partially my preference of color, partially my choice in clothing, I like black cargos, and tan don't blend with black.

I thought about doing this to one. I was thinking black to go with the black handles. But a different color sounded more exciting. What color did you go with?

Another thought was will it bleed on you if you sweat a lot or get wet but rit is made for clothes so it probably wont.

I just came in to see what kind of question Nick could possibly have regarding sheaths. Can't imagine there's much he don't know!

LOL @ Murph :D

I'm going with black and pix and a report when it's done.

That was part of my plan for my 16 mod, dying the sheath. Wanted it to be, yep, you guessed it, OD. But now that the knife doesn't fit my hand too good, I decided against it.

I like the tan. :)

should be interesting. i never really though that nylon would dye well, sooooo... waiting :)

Nylon doesn't dye well, but the color is cool IMO. It came out a dark brown I'll try to post pix when I get home.

Sorry to leave ya hanging like this. :)

I need this. This whole setup.

I'm trying to make a survival kit I can keep in my helmet bag. I'm gonna get a widemouth KleanKanteen (because you can put them right in the fire), fill it with some gear, and stick it in a bag like that one.

how do you like the maxpedition bag?

also, anyone wanna try turing one green?

It makes a good kit.
