I have a Tyrade with no born on date?

What could this mean?

Are all Tyrades made in the USA?

Thanks

Don't know about the born on date, but yes the Tyrade is made in the USA.

Welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the welcome!

I started going crazy about Kershaw Knives last year with the SG2 Blur. I love most everything about Ken Onion's.

For some strange reason that Blur SG2 caused an addiction to high-tech steels now and I cannot seem to get enough of Ken Onion Knives or the materials being used.

Since, I have been on a collection rampage. The favorites being the new CB's. I got the Tyrade (My #1 Production Knife) and the Leek 1660CB.

I cannot find any info on why that Tyrade is missing a date? If it was a mistake that would be a good thing for me.

GREAT FORUM! It is good to read so much info from so many with similar interest. I love this place.

yeah... there should be a mo. and yr on the flipper. And there should be the USA part under the Kai info.

It's made in Oregon, USA... even the screws. The CPM d2 and 154CM are both Crucible steels which is also USA.

Like to see a picture of your tyrade for the lack of markings

You can't see the BOD on the Blackout when it's open or closed. You have to move the blade to a mid postion.

Is the Tyrade the same?

No it is not the same as the blackout.

There is another Tyrade photo in this forum without the BOD mark. Sorry, I didn't get the URL and have not been able to get a photo posted.

I think that it may not be that uncommon to be missing the date marking? I called Kershaw and they said it might have simply been missed.
