I have a few new blades that have hit my door step recently. I sold off some production knives that I never used and put the money into these beauties!

First up, I scored this AWESOME Norlund double bit hatchet!!! I am so stoked about this one. I just need a little sharpening and it will be in tip top shape.

Next is this WICKED spearpoint langseax with Ipe handles from Koyote with some of Koyote Girls's sweet leather work. This thing is a monster and just demolished a watermelon! It came super sharp, it was a bit scary how easy it cut.

A sweet little EDC I got from a gentleman here at a local knife show. The blade is made from a lawn edger blade and has maple&walnut handles.

While I was out taking pics I brought a few others out to play too. Here are a bunch of JK's including the bushcrafter passaround knife. There is a very cool Michael Morries file knife in there too, as well as Dan Koster's W&SS forum knife.

I would like to thank all of the makers I have recently dealt with for the first time, Michael Morris and Will Crump. It was an extreme pleasure doing business with them and their products are top notch all the way around. As I did not personally deal with Dan Koster other than an email with my order info, I have to say I am very impressed with the quality and feel of his knife. I know Dan cranks them out in large batches but it certainly does not compromise the quality of the knife. As far as John (Stomper) and Christof (Koyote) it is always a pleasure working with them and they are fantastic folks to deal with. They both put out high quality hardware that is meant to be used and stand behind them 110%. The forum is a better place having all of these great folks around. So again I say thank you to the makers you all have out done yourselves.

wow. I know, I know, I made the seax. But every time you photograph that sheath I'm just in awe.

Love the axe, never really tried a double bitt for a journey.

Those Crumps are the real deal, I loved them. Ask C how long I played with those.

JK hatched rocks and the little (EDC I think to the left of the Bushcrafter) felt good in the hand.

As for the Koyote sheath...amazing! That 1/4" blade was sick sharp.

I'm super jealous of that little Norlund hatchet. I couldn't find one online, so I assume they don't make them anymore?

As far as I know they don't. If they did I'm sure they would not be made in USA and if they were, the quality surely would not be there.

Love the axe, never really tried a double bitt for a journey.

I have not either, but just playing around with it I REALLY like the extra weight that a double bit has opposed to a single bit of the same size.
