And eBay takes no action even though I have reported it.

(( do not post eBay links ))

I report all fakes on eBay and the item is never removed. I email CRK many times with them also, especially the ones that are the better ones where the novice can get screwed. It's an endless circle. All we can do is just do our part....!!!

Maybe instead of continuing to hunt fakes (like in your spyderco thread) you could try just looking for authentic knives.

Flea-bay is full of fakes. If you spend time looking for them I'm sure you will find tons.

Have a nice day. :D

Use your brain and then engage your mouth, not the other way around.

Kind of a mean thing to say. All I did was state the obvious about fakes on ebay which MOST everyone already knows. I even said have a nice day at the end. Thanks for wrecking my feelings friend. I apologize for interfering with your fun. Carry on.

It may or may not bother CRK, but I am not that concerned with knives that are easily identified as fakes or copies(by name or materials). The ones that concern me are those that are sold as authentic CRKs and at a CRK price-yet are not. That is where the buyer gets ripped off.
Just my opinion

Someone told me they can get away with it if they put "China" as the region of manufacturing. It also says the brand is "Kevin John". Clearly trying to fool someone...but these are probably eBay's loopholes. It's still wrong calling it a Sebenza...I believe the "better" of the fakes are D2 steel...not that it's a bad steel, but it's definitely not S35VN. I could be wrong though....I recall reading about this someplace. eBay should remove these listings...but rarely do.

It accomplishes nothing to contact ebay or even CRK. Mr. reeves is well aware that he's being ripped off by sellers in China, Russia,, Nigeria, or wherever. There is nothing or nearly nothing he can do about it. Ebay does not care, period. And I hope you aren't even thinking about contacting the dishonest seller yourself, which ebay will consider interfering with his auctions, or harassment. You're not the internet policeman.

I used to contact various parties regarding this problem. Then saw so many fakes, that I would be spending an inordinate amount of time attempting to stop an avalanche. Buyer beware, folks.

Well, don't buy the fake.
Buy from a reputable dealer or from here and you'll never have any doubts

This is what I try to do too. CRK is always very gracious when I let them know.

We are not talking rocket science here; the fakes on the bay or elsewhere diminish the value of the authentic CRKs, cheats CRK, and increase the chance of one of us getting cheated.

It's not a fake Chris Reeve Sebenza; it's a genuine Kevin John Small Sebenza. And I thought posting links to ebay is verboten?

+1

Not in any way this claims to be a CRK, I think the worst cases is the ones that do so.

Just looked at that post. No experience with this, but would never send money to Russian Federation. Realize there is some protection with eBay and PayPal, but why bother? Many products sold within the US, why risk the hassle?

Ok then when I see more CRK counterfits in the future I will do nothing since it is futile.

Ignore this guy. He's been trolling the Spyderco forums and has been asking for a ban while there. He's now moving to a new forum and trying the same.
