I have ideas for a new type of knife features. Which knife makers should I speak to?

I need some input and opinions whether the designs and features will work. Which knifemakers out there can I trust enough to send sketches and drawing of my ideas? I know this may be a stupid question but I thought I might as well ask. Thanks for any help.

Many companies say they refuse to use designs submitted by people. If you think it's good submit it to the patent office (takes a few thousand dollars) and then sell it to a knife company. After you patent it, let us know what it is.

contact dave over at greatlakeswaterjet. be patient if you dont hear from him right away. he's getting ready for the blade show.

If you contact any reputable custom maker, and commission the knife, you'll have the provenance and actual sample to prove it was original. Then submit it to a decent patent attorney, who will show you a half dozen similar items from 100 years ago.

Actual, original ideas hit the market about once every 25 years. Everything else has been done.
