There is a learning curve in opening the small regular Sebenza. I want to announce that I have rounded it. Thank you all for the help. Here is what I found:
1. I discovered my fingers were putting pressure on the locking lug, while opening. (changed position of fingers)
2. Pushing forward, with my thumb, toward the pivot helps.
3. Cleaning and lubing made things a LOT smoother. (it was a breeze to take down and the CRK greese has more body than my teflon oil)
All is well in Sebenza village.

Gull Wing: I am soooooo happy that you got beyond the learning curve of opening the small Sebbie!!

Congrats Gull Wing! That pushing forward really does the trick. I good cleaning/lubing also helps. Good for you!:D

Good going! This, and the other thread, have been beneficial to me as I have a large classic that should be here tomorrow, and it has been a few years since I played with a sebbie.
