And it is good. I love how deep it carries with out being burried in the pocket like a SOG and it is still easy to get out unlike a SOG (alteast for me) and the wire clip is really cool being my first knife with a wire clip and it also aids in making the knife a little less conspicuous. The G10 is just like any other Spyderco in that it is awesome(Emerson, Spyderco and the Kershaw JYD2CB have the best G10 that I know of). The ergonomics are spectacular and the jimping on the hump and the choil the fingers aren't going anywhere when they are locked into the jimping. The blade is a leaf shape full flat grind VG-10 enough said on that and it is a Spyderco so we all know hos sharp it came out of the box and we all know how much sharper it is after going on the Sharpmaker. Overall this will be an EDC for some time and my D2 Para Mili will just have to deal with that. Oh and I know some people do not like the rivit construction but I look at it this way the knife looks much smoother with out the Torx construction and makes it look classier and I have other knives that will do the heavier cutting like a couple of Emerson's a Mini Manix and a Police model and some fixed blades so the Caly 3 is certainly my Sunday church knife and my EDC for some time. Final thoughts is that the Caly 3 is a nice classy knife that carries excellently and has awesome ergonomics with wonderful fit and finish and just a great all around EDC. The SG on the blade also attests to the knifes wonderful design.

Not much I can say to that except, "Me too!" I really like all the knives in my Caly 3 family (PE, SE, ZDP189, & UKPK).

Yeah I kinda of turned that into review of sorts but I just love the knife I just had to write about it. It is my favorite classy type knife besides my Case knives but even then this is a Spyderco and just plain awesome. The opening is so smooth and the lock up makes a nice crisp snap. I want to shake the hand that designed this knife (yeah Sal that means you). If only the store I worked at carried this knife.

Ahh, but a good review.

The Caly 3 CF one is the next Spyderco on my list, i wonder if I should go with a G10 version instead. I do like Spyderco G10 a lot.

Maybe just get one in both CF and G10........

Either version may have to wait a bit while I find funds, but I will have it soon.

Yeah I sold a Benchmade Mini TSEK, Spyderco SS Endura, and a Byrd Crossbill to get the funds for the G10 Caly 3 and I am glad that I did sell those knives, but I sold one the Endura to my Dad, the Crossbill to my brother and the Tsek to a friend so I gave them to people that I keep in touch with and have a chance to buy them back at some point so all is not gone completely but I am not regreting those sales one bit ever since I got the Caly 3.

I have gone through several spyderco knives since I started buying a short time ago. the one that I still own and plan to keep is my caly 3. i have even owned several sebenzas - these are great knives by the way. but the knife that fits my personal preference is the spyderco caly 3. great feel in the hand, great blade, sharp as hell. i have owned the carbon fiber model and it was absolutely beautiful, but i was so afraid to put any kind of marks on it that i ended up selling it. i now own the G10 model and I love it. it's the only knife that i need. enjoy your caly 3!

Yeah this little Caly of mine has cut a good number of pieces of notebook paper I'm going to have to keep a vacuum cleaner around.

Ah, were it not for the pinned construction, I'd have one for myself.

I actually like the pinned construction on this one. You can adjust the pivot, but I also didn't have the normal urge to strip it down. :D
