I have my first William Henry Knife inbound. Its an older liner lock T12 with ATS-34 blade steel. I know they are popular and have a great reputation. I have always been a CRK knife nut an have had literally TONS of theirs, but from time to time, I like to try others. I know with their exotics and high prices, I will not have many, but am excited to have my first.

What do you guys and gals think of William Henry Knives....???

I will post pics when it arrives.

Congrats!! I think you are really going to enjoy your WH. Being a CRK knife nut you will truly appreciate the fit and finish of the WH. I have several henrys and two that I carry often. They are definitely more of a gentlemans folder/art knife but still a very useful tool none the less. One of the WHs I really enjoy carrying these days is the edc-10. Big enough to take on a lot of tasks but refined and appealing enough to use openly in public and not scare the sheeple. Don't get me wrong when Im out working in the yard the lg 21 will be in my pocket but if its a night on the town with friends, good food and drink you will probably find a WH in my hand if needed. Enjoy:thumbup: Cheers

I owned a couple in the past. Beautiful materials, impeccable fit and finish and smooth as glass. All have been incredibly sharp (either in ZDP189 or ZDP189 core damascus).

They are harder to sell if you want to (at least in my experience).

Their customer service is as good as CRK. They really stand behind their product.

Congrats, you will not be disappointed. I have one on me now and few more at home. Small, light, sharp, well-made and beautiful.

I love the B12 by the way. The T12 is the older version with a liner lock as opposed to a button lock. Fantastic blade! Very beefy but so light! You'll love it!

IDEAL EDC. The only weak point in my opinion is the clip. It doesn't really grab much and you can very easily lose it. I sent mine to WH, had the clip replaced for a gorgeous leather and silver lanyard and bought one of their leather clip cases. It worked much better and it still was super small and light to carry in my pocket.

I have a b12 and an e10 abd they are fantastic. I haven't gotten my hands on one if the older liner locks yet but pricing on them is much better than on the button lock ones.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

This one comes with the older tan leather sheath. I kinda liken it to just a big mnandi. Like I said, with the prices, I don't see me owning a ton of them like I do CRK, but a few would be nice. If I need a heavy duty cutter, I have others for that, but I still think this would serve me well for "normal" carry mnandi-like work....lol. Though I have been known to push the envelope with the mnandi....lol...............Do you like the Liner Lock, or the Button Lock....??? This one has the Liner Lock. I will post pics when it arrives.....!!!

I think the B12 / T12 is more like a small Sebenza (but a lot lighter). You'll be surprised.

Curious to hear your impressions when you get it.

Which model did you get ?

I've got a T12 with Rainbow Damascus and pearl slabs, and also have the T12 Superconductor.

They're the smoothest knives I've ever had, but they've just been sitting in my safe since I bought them new. I never could bring myself to carry such fine knife, so I'll probably just sell them one day.

Congrats, and look foward to the pics.

Congrats on your find. I want an ATS-34 blade myself, it was a super steel before I got into knives and now that its pretty much not used anymore I'm having trouble findin a used knife I would actually want to EDC in it.

As for the WH, no experience with them but I hope to one day have an E10, its the "most classy" / high-end gentleman's knife I have on my list.

I got a WH T12 liner lock with ATS-34 blade and a fishtail oak handle. Will post pics as soon as it arrives. I have always wanted one, but never seen many that were reasonably priced. To me, reasonably priced is something in the sebenza price range. I am not going beyond that. I was looking for a T12 with the carbon fiber, but never got one. I seen several for sale, but they usually popped up when I had just bought another......you know how it goes....lol.

My first William Henry Arrived. Its the T12 with ATS-34 steel blade that is RAZOR sharp. The handle is plainer, ,made from Fishtail Oak. Fit and finnish is flawless. Packaging is great as well. Mine came in an older box with a small chamois cloth to wipe it down and a small card showing its specs. Slip sheath is nice as well. I am a very big CRK guy and consider this knife to be more mnandi-like than small sebenza-like. I can definitely see the desire for them.......I will get pics up asap. I was using it last night to cut down some cardboard and cut packaging labels off the boxes and it slipped. Easily one of the worst knife cuts you could imagine. Its my trigger finger too which I will need in 2 weeks for hunting season, hope it heals quickly....!!! SO today, my finger is a little sore. It cut so cleanly that there was really no pain, just LOTS of blood and I mean LOTS....lol. Oh well, this is a hazard shared by all in this joyous hobby we love.
Once I get some quality pics taken, I will do a review on it with some pics next to a small sebenza for size comparison......Enjoy...!!!

Looking forward to your review. I can't decide if I want to purchase more CRKs or branch over into WHs...

I bought a William Henry T10 P pearl Lancet when they first came out, took 6 months of shopping but I found one for a great price. They are a fine knife, one of the best production folders out there.

They're in a different class than a Sebenza, more of a Mnandi, a gentleman's folder with bite, this is one refined knife, everything is top notch on this knife, F&F are superb. Mine is a very basic pearl scaled model, you don't see them that plain anywhere so I never thought twice about carrying it, although I do keep it in a leather clipped sheath it does a great job as an EDC for a more refined atmosphere.

Not my pic but my knife is identical...

Ha, same thing happened to me with a new WH a few months ago. Accidentally dragged my thumb across blade opening it and it cut like a scalpel. I posted a picture of it here on BF as a "what not to do with a WH"

Congrats on your first and hope not your last WH.

I have a B30 TIZ, Ironwood Gentech I picked up a few years ago with some Hurricane Katrina Overtime-Clean-up money. It's definitely my top bling folder, and I've carried it quite a bit. I used to own a T-12 Pearl, and a T10 Pearl and damascus. Both of those were traded away. Really enjoy the B30, though, as I don't worry about ruining the scales.

At this point in life, I can afford only one WH. I had a CR Mnandi, but after loosing it (yes! I Lost it! )I haven't bought another CR, yet. That will be next on my ultra-posh wish list. Maybe next year, or the year after.
