I have old Russell & Co Knife - looking for information

I am trying to acquire some information about this knife that I inherited. I know nothing about knives so here goes. I appreciate any information from anyone. In addition I am new to this and. I hope I am in the right section for information. The knife is marked RUSSELL & CO, GREEN RIVER WORKS, and it is 10 1/2" LONG OVERALL, and 6" BLADE. The handle looks like bone with a deer roof on the end. Has a cross cut design all around. It has the original sheath. Thank you I can send you pictures to serious inquiries
