I have problem with Kereshaw naming system, do you?

First they came out with "ZT"....Hogs we all know where that one is coming from. No one seems to hv problem with it so I keep my mouth shut. Then I found out they came out "Kershaw Junkyard Dog"......

oh, c'om, don't tell me nothing is going on! For this stupid reason I have decide bann myself to buy any Kershaw knives.

Am I too sensitive? Bother me the most is actually at exchange. I thought I see a Busse selling, then......CRAP, Not again

There is a custom knifemaker named Tim Galyean and he has a knife named "Junkyard Dawg" referred to as "JYD", he also happens to work for Kershaw. His knife was named that long before the Busse company came out with "Scrap yard" knives. It looks like Kershaw decided to make a production run of the JYD. I have one of the few custom JYDs made by Tim Galyean, not cheap either, it was over $2000!

The Zero Tolerance line offered by another always throws me off on the trader..... I see the ZT and get all excited - then I see its a non Busse folder :barf: ........kind of annoying

That is a pretty cool blade Ducci.

I have no problems at all with Kershaw. They embody customer service IMHO, despite being a larger knife company.

I have a ZT301 and a ZT200 (both solid knives). The 301 had some peeling on the titanium coating and a rattle from the torsion bar. Kershaw replaced it in record time, no questions asked.

Meanwhile I have a Buck/Strider 880SP that's been languishing at Buck for over two months (lockup was wiggly).

I have a ZT 300 USN Special Edition knife, and it is my favorite folder. Super-fast smooth opening, very sharp and great lock-up...

at IWA2007 in Germany I was talking to the guys from ZeroTolerance and they were so kind to present me the T-shirt of ZT team :D (MAy be it was because I was wearing the T-shirt with BUSSE logo) :D :D :D

I started using the name "Junkyard Dawg" on my customs in January of 2005, never heard of Scrapyard Knives back then. You guys are getting worked up over a silly name  Unbelievable.

We signed an agreement with Kershaw for the ZT name. . .

They're a great group of folks over at Kershaw and they have a bunch of cool designs. . .

Tim... Glad you dropped by. Please don't let the few words in this thread give you the overall impression of the group. I'm sure Jerry will drop by and give his thoughts on a way that only Jerry can do. :)

Guys, let's remember that we don't bash other companies and it's not big deal what other companies use for a knife name. There is no similarities in the knife itself, aside from being a great cutter, so I don't see a problem with that.

As Jerry would say.... LET'S DRINK!!!

That's it. I'm throwing away all of my Kershaw knives!

Oh wait. I don't OWN any Kershaw knives yet. LOL

Can I get a free T-shirt?
