I recently received my first ESEE in the mail.

It was the HEST DPX fixed blade, and I have to say, I'm impressed. I've started a bad ESEE habit, I think --- the HEST was definitely a good one to take the plunge with.

It looks like I'll be buying myself an RC3 and Izula for Christmas. :D I was going to make the HEST my small gift to myself (to go with a new Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan Guide, my other early Christmas present), but just couldn't wait. They look very pretty together, especially next to each other on my belt.

Very impressive product, I look forward to using it and reviewing it further!

Enjoy..I started with the Junglas....few weeks later I had 2 Izula's and a 5. Can't wait for the hest folder.....also looking forward to the ESEE Pack Kit.
 
I started with the hest less than 2 weeks ago. Now I have the hest, 2 izulas, and a 5 en route now.


It will consume you. But at least you'll enjoy it.
 
I began with the Junglas and now have 7 Esee knives in my collection. It's a horrible addiction, but one I don't mind spending money to get my fix....:thumbup:
 
. . . like I said before, there's something in that handle or blade material that penetrates into your blood & makes you want another, & another, & another, & etc. :)

Welcome to the madness, no way back now :)
May i recommend the 4, HEST/izula/4 should be a great combo.
 
Congrats on your new HEST! You for sure are infected with the "sickness" now and it's not worth trying to fight off. I started off with a 5 and in about 2 months had the whole line up.
 
HAHA same thing with me. I started with an Izula and now I HAVE to have an ESEE 4 and the HEST, and maybe the other flavors of the Izula
 
You need at least 3 of each. One to save and keep in mint condtion; one to use hard everyday; and one just in case. Just a few weeks ago I sold off some old fixed blades to fund my new hobby of custom Buck 110s, which I really cool and I vowed after buying 5 of them in a week not to buy and more knives for a while; then I bought 5 ESEE's in a week! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Oh, and OP, no photos means it didn't happen! :)
 
I started with the ESEE-4, then the Izula II kit, then the ESEE-5, then the fire starter kit, then the AH-1, then the Izula...
