One of my good friends, who will also be standing in my upcoming wedding, has finally been turned!

He's been carrying a gifted SAK classic on his keyring for the past few months and found out how handy it was. He came by the house one day and saw me hacking up a box with my Griptilian. He inquired about my knives and it was all downhill from there LOL. He purchased his first knife yesterday while on vacation up in Tennessee.

He promptly texted me a pic and it was a Zero Tolerance 0350! Not too shabby for his first knife!
 
I showed my (non knife guy )friend my zt 350 and he bought himself one for his first real knife. I would have suggested something that was easier to sharpen but he figured that out for himself shortly after

I recently Rekindled a friend's interest in knives as well. He had an older mini grip, and a few cheap, no name china knives. I showed him a couple of ZTs and a couple of spidercos......now he's shopping for knives again.
 
My first ZT was a 0350. I've owned many other models since then. My favorite, at present, is the three ounce 0770/M390.
The very first time that ZT has made a lighter folder, but still extremely capable.
 
Good that you turned your friend, now educate them on the importance of laws to protect our ability to carry and use a knife.
 
:thumbup: I've been working on converting my brother in law for a little while now. The other day he came over and wanted to talk steel. I got him a CRKT M16 for his birthday, he whipped it out to show me the edge he polished on it ;)

Grats on your bringing another one into the fold!
 
I did the same thing with an Aunt of mine. I gave her a SAK Classic for X-mas last year. Recently she saw my red ALOX Cadet, and now she wants one for herself. Well, X-mas is upcoming..!

Nice job! The world could always use some more knife guys.

I converted my dad about a year and a half ago. Bought him a mini grip for Father's Day, and he's had it clipped to his belt ever since! (Yes, belt...... He never got into carrying it in his pocket unfortunately:rolleyes:)

My sister is also starting to come around to the knife life. Got her a customized pink mini grip with some graphics etched on the blade as a "going away to college" gift. She really likes it, but I don't think she's really used to having it with her yet. Even when she actually remembers to carry it, she forgets it's there and never actually uses it...... Oh well:rolleyes: Just takes time, I guess.
