I was roaming the reviews and decided I had to have a Benchmade Skirmish. Problem is, my last knife came in mail recently.... very recently.

So feeling guilty about the cost of my obsession, I decided to sell one of my guns for blade cash.

My wife looks at me and says, "you love your guns. I'd feel terrible if you sold one. Why don't you go ahead and buy that knife and just watch your spending for the next few months..."

I have the BEST WIFE IN THE WORLD!

I just had to tell the world.

:) :) :) :)

If my wife said that to me, I'd get out the checkbook and ask which credit card she maxed out this time...

Lucky Man!! Sounds to me like you need to take real good care of her, like maybe buy her a real nice knife?? :D :D :D

Hmmm, methinks MelancholyMutt may be on to something. But if he isn't, you are one seriously lucky man.

No wife here :)
But got some mother :P
"Are you crazy?"
"No! We don't have cash"
etc.
etc.

Yesterday i sad: "Hi mom! I'm going to buy belt sander :)"
I was shocked
We were talking about knifemaking for about 2 hours.
Love you Mom :)

DRider-she may be a good one, but the best wife in the world is already living at my hause. :D

" I have the best wife in the world. "

Lucky for you. Nobody is going to argue with you about that but, for a moment, I thought you were saying you've got the best " knife " in the world.

HA!HA!ha!!! Check your thread immediately to see if there's some full contact no hold bar action. A little disappointed infact, when I read the tittle of the post again. You see, this is a knife forum and most people usually brag about their knives only.

That's quite a woman!

My wife doesn't mind the knives but, granted, she doesn't track how much I'm spending. I always make it a point to mention the one that was given to me when the subject of cost comes up....

When I was preparing to buy my pistol she told me she would divorce me if I did it. I did it anyway. We're still married and now a baby on the way so I think I'm fully forgiven. The gun safe sure is a handy place to hide things by the way.

I really appreciate all the great replies. She's the best wife I ever had, I'll tell you that! :D

And I got her (a while back) a full set of Henkel Pro S cooking knives with an additional Santuko model for the block. She's really happy with them. Except that I guess her knives are bigger than mine.

By the way, about the Skirmish, great service from New Graham knives. Lowest price I could find on the net, got my UPS shipping confirmation the day after I placed my order. When I get it in a few days I hope to write some kind of rave about it.... based on what others have said about it...

Actually, I have the best wife in the world, and I've had her for 31 years today! (11 January 1974)

She never gives me any trouble about buying knives-guns-motorcycles and she doesn't have a comparable money-draining hobby!

...and no, she ain't for sale! I got her and I'm keeping her.

Happy Anniversary!!!!
