Just got my new BK 9 in the mail this weekend. All I have to say is amazing! The thing feels freaking awesome in my hand!


It looked like it was starving so I took her out back for a bite.;)


She ate up a couple logs like they were nothing!!


I must say how happy I am with the BK9. Everyone on here was right, "You can't not have a 9!" More pics to come as we have more adventures!:)

I know what you mean! as soon as you get her in hand you want to baton something......Anything!
 
It is hard to understand how a knife feels in your hand until you get it. The 9 is an exceptional blade.
 
It should come as no surprise that the BK9 is a good chopper and batoner (it might be surprising just how good though). If you really want to be surprised try something that requires more finesse, like some feathersticks and tent stakes.

I've been using my BK9 constantly on the job, but so far I haven't gotten the opportunity to make full use of its power potential. So far the greatest accomplishment has been hacking down a ten foot tree that was growing over a trailer's water heater access door. The trunk was as thick as the blade is wide and it was down in about a minute.
