Need a little advice from some knife knuts,

So long story short i have two knives in the shop a umnum and 21 inlay, while they were there i started missing them so i placed an order for a 25 :p. (Cant go a month withought a crk lol) Over the past week i just bought my first rifle and realized i need to relocate some funds so i decided one has to go.

Im trying to decide which one to sell the 21 or 25. At the moment i am a little iffy on the 25, maybe its because i havnt used her that much.

Which one do you prefer, did the 25 grow on you or did you like it immediately?

I like the 25 more and more each day! I think its a great edc!! What kind of inlay is it? Are you going to use it?

Its ebony, the wood inlays are beautiful :(, and yes i was planning to.

Well I love my 25. But I've got more use out of it since my large insingo micarta is at crk right now. So I'm kind of partial at this point. I just know I wouldn't part with my 25

I'd ditch the 25. As time goes by, and more people buy/sell/trade 25's the price for a good used 25 will drop. You can buy it again for cheap if you want to. Inlays hold their value better (IMHO) and would be tougher to replace at a good price with exactly the inlay you want. I don't care much for Umnum's, but they seem to hold value well and I know there are a few specific variations which people find more/less desirable and can be tough to find. Again, a specific Umnum is tougher to find than a standard 25. Of course, if you just recently paid full retail on a new 25 you'll lose money selling it, so maybe it's a wash. Still, money aside, the Umnum and Inlay have more variation and require more effort to locate a specific variant than a 25. Just my 2 cents having bought, sold and re-bought a few particular Sebenza models over time.

I'd keep the 21 simply because I think they will become harder to get. The 25 just got introduced so it will be around for a long time.

Both are great, great knives. And either one will do the job and then some.

But if You twisted my arm and made me choose, My personal preferace would be with the 21.

I prefer the bushing system and the disassembly/assembly process that goes with it.
I also like the simplicity of only needing one Allen key. I keep one on my keychain just incase. Needing to carry three would be a pain.

Plus it was my first Sebenza. I've grown quite attached to the 21 platform over the years. The 21 is my regular. ;)

I have always been a large regular sebenza guy and always compared everything to that. I was never a fan of the 21's, but they have grown on me a little. Not enough to hoard them, but to have a few. When I first got my 25, I did not like it at all and almost sold it immediately. I kept fondling it and when I moved, I just clipped it to my pocket so I would not lose it. During the move, it got a scratch, so rather than sell it at a loss because of the scuff, I decided to give her another try. Since then, I have been carrying it regularly with my large regular cgg. The 25 has grown on me quite a bit and I highly recommend it to anyone. I doubt it will ever make me not like those very special large regulars, but I do like it a lot. So for me, it took time to grow on me. I will also add that mine holds a great edge. When I got it, it was not the sharpest new crk I had ever bought, so I got out my ultra fine sharpmaker stones and very lightly touched it up. The edge is basically mirror polished now and I have not touched it since and I have used it a lot over the past 3-4 months since I got it. Still pretty darn sharp.

Much prefer the 25 over a 21.. build, blade shape etc.
You'll be hard pressed to find a better slicer than the 25.

As mentioned above, I would keep the 21 and sell the 25. You can get more for the 25 right now, but the prices on the secondary used market will drop as more become available.
Or sell the rifle and keep them all:)

I would take the 25 hands down over any 21, you have to break the 25 in to get the full appreciation, the 2 finger choils & the new jimping blow the 21 out of the water,
I have owned over 70 Sebenza's and the 25 in my opinion is the best, although most of mine were Classic's, never did warm up to the 21, just my 4 cents :D

I decided to sell the 25, a lot of good points were made. I got to say though the 25 feels amazing in the hand, beats out pretty much every knife i have held so far. My only problem is the hump, divot, and scalloped handle take away from the clean look that i loved so much about the 21(the 21 is one of the best looking knives imo). Thanks for the help, sent an email to crk to see when my knives are coming back :p
