ARC LS with the high tailcap. I own gobs and gobs of flashlights but this is fast becoming a favorite. Anyone else have one of these?

Congratulations on your Arc LS. I own 2 Arc AAA lights and I love them, but the Arc LS is definately next on my list of must have lights.

In response to emails. This one is brighter than an Inova X5 (at least I think so..) and has a real heft to it. The tail cap gives a very solid, positive tactile feedback.

I love my Arc LS too! I ended up giving my first to my wife and buying a second for myself.

fracmeister, yours is LSL, LSL-P,LSH or LSH-P? Mine is LSH-P and it's now my EDC.

I've got one of the old LS seconds which now wears the 2 AA pack and my EDC is the LSL-P, along with last years AAA-LE.:D

Okay guys. I've decided to go ahead and purchase an Arc LS. There's only one problem. Which to get? Low Dome or High Dome? What advantages does one have over the other?

I have an lshp which is a high dome model.
I've handled and played with a low dome quite a bit also.
The high has more of a spot while the low dome is just good even upclose light.
The high dome has better throw and the low dome is equally good at producing a nice even pattern up close.
overall I would say that the high domes have a little more of that wow factor when showing friends but the low dome is no slouch either.
tough choice.

The high dome has a tighter hot spot and more throw.
Because of this it will appear to be producing less light at close to medium range. Long range is where the high dome shows its value.
The high dome also has a very distinctive square hot-spot.
Annoying as hell to some -- hardly noticeable to others.

I really like mine. I rolled a rubber o-ring onto it so it sits in the groove between the body and tail cap so I can use it syringe style. Kinda like a Surefire 6Z.
