I started grinding my Keeper Hatchet Head. The only difference between this one and the one I posted is two 10-24 holes that I added on the top. This allows me to put a back strap on some of the high impact stuff like the Adz poll.

I said I wasn't going to weaponize (is that a word ?)this and I'm not....but I did start think about the perfect way to "Take out sentries, quietly.

Old people come up with strange ideas and I remembered a shark dart I had somewhere. I dug it out and took a look.
I couldn't resist and made this miniature version. My compressor will only go to 185PSI but it held the pressure and released when I punched it in a wet phone book.

That was a lot of fun...got work to do...PLAYTIME is over.

Whooosh pphhhht thunk. Thats's the sound I envision. Too cool.
When I get to feeling better. We need to meet up for some tomahawk talk :)
What do you think about the hammer-in idea?

I'd love to see a local Hammerin. My biggest problem with everything is that I don't have the time to go any distance at all. So if it isn't within a hundred miles, I can't do it.
 
I don't know what to call it Bruce. It is in essence, a shark dart on a hatchet! :o

A shark dart is a big needle type thing filled with compressed air or C02. It has a valve in it that releases the gas when the sharp point pushes back (as in stuck in something)

This is the same thing, just smaller.

The compressed air causes an air bubble in the stickee's system and he dies...very quickly from an embolism.

I made this one from some surgical pneumatic parts I had courtesy of the V.A. Hospital. They didn't need them anymore. :o
 
Cool, Peter! You have incredible imagination and skill, fella. Yep, it would take out a sentry plenty quick, either end.
 
Peter, you better be careful. Someday a black helicopter will hover over your house, commandos spilling out of it like ants out of a burning log. They'll beat the snot out of you and confiscate all your forging equipment, knifes, tools, and gadgets this the one above. Oh yeah... your PC too. Next thing we know, we'll be seeing your dart-hatchet gizmo on a History Channel special or something. :p

OH Bruce.........They also make something called a Bang Stick. It is the same sort of tube but with a cartridge of some sort. I've seen them in 12 GA, 38/357, MAG and blank cartridges.

That seems like a useful accessory for a hunting hatchet...... :eek: :footinmou

I made a bunch of those. Mostly 12 guage because a 3/4" pipe fits nicely. The latest was a little different. I put in a "16th centuary cannon" that I made for a play. If you want to see go to:
