What i've seen has all been positive, but i haven't seen all that much.

To me it seems like the only new recent knife that's interested me much in the folder dept besides the lionsteel sr-1. Now that people have owned them a while, whats the consensus? I'm going to be picking one up so post some pics as well, comparison pics would be cool too as well as in hand. Lets see some users.

I was thinking about thinning it down pretty good, around 20 degrees inclusive, anyone done so?

Yup, i've seen a few threads here and there but nothing what i'd imagine. It looks to be a folder that will rival those several hundred dollars more, with a great steel choice and HT.

The only real issue is that the steel is vulnerable to rust and the mirror polished liners are easily scratched up. Other than that, a very good value and performer, worth every penny. I just don't get a lot of opportunity to cut nonfood materials, thus I haven't touched mine in months.

Don't know how out of touch I am but the Swamp Rat with the SR-1 was the only blade I heard of using that steel... Now I'm interested!!!

Swamprat uses SR101 (52100), I mentioned the lion steel SR-1 (it's a folder made by lionsteel)

The Spyderco GB uses CPM m4, a high wear resistance tool steel.

i can tell you this about the bradley.
is as attractive as it is tuff
slightly heavy for city slacks
one of the most abrasion resistant alloys available
the action rivals customs in smoothness.

The GB is an awesome blade all the way around, it's very strong and smooth.

Well I just posted a GB pic in another thread so I'll toss one in here too. I love the knife but lack of work is forcing mine out the door. As soon as I'm able, I will get another one. Its such a beautiful and functional design.

Very much but that is ok, we've seen worse ;) http://www.lionsteel.it/

So, what did you imagine that you have not yet seen? Try doing a search for the words Gayle Bradley, I'm interested to see what you can come up with. The folder is solid through and through.

There is a ton of info in the Spyderco forum. It is talked about in many threads and quite a few were started just to talk about it. I think a quick search will yield a lot of info but as mentioned it is a great knife with a great heat treat.

Oh yeah SR101 that's right...I didn't know it was 52100
And as far as lionsteel...

Hahahaha your right! Thanks for the info!

Still interested, as I never really looked into the Gayle Bradley. The pics in this thread look great.

You hold the Gayle Bradley in your hand and it feels like you're holding quality itself. It's my EDC right now. 36 deg inclusive mirror polish edge. It keeps cutting and cutting and cutting. Sometimes I just take it out and marvel at it's design; be amazed at how much went into it, yet remain baffled as to how they kept the price as low as they did.

Some people don't like the grip due to the liner not covering the frame completely. It's fine for me. And remember, Gayle encourages people to make it a heavy duty user, not a safe queen. That's ultimately what he designed it for

Though Id pay $75 more for one if it were made here, I need to get over its origin and buy one. It looks like a winner for sure.

I have one and love it. Have had it since its release. However, I hardly use it silly because it's too heavy for me. I do carry it and love it but I can not get my Sebenza out of my pocket. The only knife that will accomplish that is the Paramilitary2 in carbon fiber/S90V blade.

There is a mini-review posted today.
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=796577

I've had one for awhile and like it a lot. F&F are outstanding, amazingly smooth action.

It could be a tad heavy for some folks as an EDC. I believe that is the only "negative" I've seen about the GB...well, that and it is a bit more susceptible to corrosion.

You get an overall positive reaction when you handle it that this knife can be really be used.

Haven't handled an SR-1 yet, but the pics and user feedback make it very appealing. Of course, we're talking a pretty hefty difference in price.

Then, honestly, you haven't looked. There are probably terabytes of threads here and at Spyderco Forums on this knife. Short version: extremely high quality design, workmanship and materials, and a great value for the money. The first production run completely sold out and there was a big backlog of backorders for the second run. Get one - you will not regret it.
