Okay, so you have about $50-60 burning a hole in your pocket, and the UPS man is looking like he'd like to deliver at your house (because he's always the first person you share your new knife purchases with). So here's the question:

BM 555-6 (plain edge), or the Camillus EDC (154 CM)?

Already have one of those neat Greco Falcon Folders on order, but I've not heard a comparison between the Griptilian and the EDC (which seem to be two of the more popular knives on this forum).

What say you, ladies and gentlemen?

The Griptilian Axis lock and pleasing fullness of body are hard to beat. The EDC sure doesn't.

It really depends on what kind of knife you prefer. The Griptilian has a thick handle with rough FRN scales. Most people love it, but it feels terrible in my hand. Even though I love Axis locks. The EDC is very slim and light, classy enough looking for the office, but I don't consider it to be a "hard use" knife. Somehow it feels like a lightweight to me. I just received a VG-10 Endura yesterday, and I've been amazed at the torture stories I've heard about this knife. If you can handle them you should have a much easier time deciding. In the same price range, also take a look at the blue inlay Vesuvius. I don't think you'll find a better looking knife for $65 or so.

I'd go for the AG Russell special Camillus EDC with the D2 alloy blade. It takes a much better edge and holds it better than any 154CM blade.
