I went to an old mans house today because he found out that I collected knives. He wanted me to see his old knives. I went there and he pulled out and old cigar box and in it was about 25 old pocket knives that he had found back in the late 60s. I asked him were he came across these treasures and he told me an amazing story that I wanted to share with everyone. He said that back in the 60s he worked for the Core Of Engineers. He said one day they drained an old lake to replace a Peer. While they were replacing the peer, he found all of these knives. It was were men had been fishing over the years and must have dropped them in the water. What is amazing is there were about 18 of the Scout pattern and a few of the Electrician pattern. The rest were Barlows and what looked to be Stockmans. If these pocket knives could talk, I bet they could tell amazing stories. Just thought I would share. So if you ever want to find old rusty pocket knives, then look under a peer.
