It's very sad that this happened, and that things like this continue to happen all the time.
That being said, not to take away from the gravity of the event or anything, but does anyone else find it extremely weird that "the three-term congresswoman was shot in the temple and the bullet exited through her forehead" and "Giffords is in intensive care but expected to survive after being shot in the head at close range."
That must have been a one-in-a-million shot
Also, oddly coincidental that a gun rights advocate was shot in the face with a legally purchased and owned gun. I wonder if this event will impact her views.

It's sad to hear such news this world has gotten to be a very dangerous place for sure. I would imagine the 9mm round was a full metal jacket which are known for over penetration that possibly will save her life. Or she just got very lucky. But a little kid that is just too much. I think the shooter has some serious mental issues myself.
