You guys have a great weekend! What's going on?

I have been busy and just got in from the shop a few minutes ago. I alternated between blasting parts, grinding blades and doing finishing work all day today. The framelocks are really going well and I am having a blast making them! I'll have 5-6 ready for those on the old list in the upcoming week. Tantos and recurves are also coming right up.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up for the folder notification list, I'll be sending out a thank you email soon. Stay tuned! :D foldermailinglist@gmail.com

I hope to have pics tomorrow and have another epic day planned! It looks like everything will come together at the same time and soon... :D

Hey Daniel, I grilled some steaks earlier. Had a MONTECRISTO VINTAGE '93 CLUB CABINET and a Sam Adams Cream Stout while I was grilling. It's been raining off and on all afternoon/evening. I think everyone should have a back porch with a tin roof at least once in their life. Was nice just relaxing and grilling while a soft rain came down on the tin roof.

^ Now that sounds like a great day! Outstanding combo...

The shop has a tin roof... it is great. :D I bet even better in Tennessee!

Nice you all talking about grilling but sadly where I live I cannot grill so tomorrow I am going for a hike and then ending up at the beach where I will grill peacfully there.

Work... :(

I'm off on Mondays and Fridays. But Sundays at work are cake. Speaking of cake, the little lady hasn't made anything in a while, she's been too busy with work. As much as she loves her new job she has made the decision to leave it. The job is great, but her work environment sucks. The head Baker is only 25 and has never been in any form of management before, the other Baker is a total flake and causes major drama.

So, she's going back to institutional cooking and she's got a be happy after work again! If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Someone throw back a stiff drink for me!

weekend.. long... didn't have plans, just hung out and did yard work and some errands around town.. and went basically crazy with the kids as they NEED ATTENTION 24/7... oh and my oldest is learning to ride his bike with no training wheels... so that has been fun. and exhausting for bent over dad chasing him around the street.. :)

folders?

Losing the training wheels already?! My boy is still too far outta control most of the time to get there yet. He just can't seem to focus too well on instructions, even when I'm riding along with him. Just getting him to turn the corner is hard enough sometimes, he just plays around like he's a race car crashing, lol.

My weekend starts today and ends tomorrow night. Split days are a pain sometimes...

Had a pretty good weekend here. Took the boy fishing Saturday morning, then went to a "family fitness" thing at one of the park district facilities. Which was fun, if exhausting. Spent more time chasing him down, than actually doing any exercise - but a calorie burned is a calorie burned.

Then Sunday morning all three of us went up to the Skokie Lagoons, rented a canoe and paddled around in the lifting fog to birdwatch and stop checking our phones and computers for a few minutes. Finished the day with a nice porterhouse on the grill, and basil juleps on the porch.

And now, I'm annoyed it is Monday and I'm back at the office. :/
