I forgot all about this until until the new site came up. For you that have now had them for a while, I would like to hear your impressions. I read the old posts from DrRMJ and rfrost from when they first got them, but I would like to know how they feel now that several months have passed.

I am trying to find a way to spend my tax return. Getting a Surefire M500A with some of it, I hope you can help me spend a little more!

Funny you should say that ! I looked at Emerson's new site the first night it was up and decided that my next knife was going to be the I&I Tanto.

The only problem for me living in the UK is that Emerson doesn't take any Credit Card orders from overseas any more.

Ah well, money order it is !

dd,

If I am not mistaken, we can only get these through I&I sports( www.iisports.com ). I just went to their site, and they take credit cards. Get with them to find out about the overseas thing.

I hope things are going well for you and you are STAYING SAFE!

Thanks for that, I may just do it. Money orders cost me a fortune to do here in the UK, as does everything it seems.

I was just hoping that the one from Emerson didn't have the I&I logo on the back for my collection that's all.

I've E-Mailed Emerson anyway, so I'll find out next week !

Thanks for the info !

Hey Scott!

I was one of the first to get an Emerson Tanto through I&I Sports, and it has since become my daily carry. I had a waved CQC-7 that I bought to be a daily carry Emerson, but I just liked the I&I better! The Commander is still my favorite production Emerson, but it's sometimes too big to carry comfortably. The I&I Tanto is much easier to carry in the pocket, and much more comfortable. It's 4" tanto blade is easier than the Commander to use for utilitarian chores, hence my carrying it daily. The Commander would still be my choice for self defense, but the Tanto is certainly no slouch in that department!

My gripes: The pocket clip is mounted too far from the end for my tastes, causing the knife to "peek out" of your pocket a little too much. Personal preference. The second (and final) gripe is: NO WAVE! An I&I Tanto with the Wave would be sooooo kickass!

My recommendation: BUY ONE! You won't regret it!

You can get the Tanto through the Custom Shop. Which, after I am going to place an order for. I figure by the time it's ready, I should have my new car and a little extra cash.

It is by far my favorite Emerson.
This knife has everything but the wave in terma of practical design. The blade is the right length. This really makes a difference. The handle has a deep finger choild/guard and the handle increases in diameter as it tapers forward. This all helps to slow and stop the hand's continuing forward momentum during thrusts. Think of it as a safety restraint system for your hand.
I do not own a production version of this knife which is really silly of me considering the fact that I love the design so much.

My knives!

I have seen the Tanto at an I&I store. It seemed awesome.
I couldn't find it on the I&I website. Is it on there?

How much does it cost?
