The best way to determine the value is to watch the knives on the bay. I am sure if you watch you will find you got a real good deal.

I say you made an excellent deal. Someone who collects those gents will fall out for that price.

The 529 has no woodgrain, it is a Buckskin with natural animal skin. But I can't see which one.

p.s.: Do you know why I collect these little ones?
These knives give me the only chance to carry a disply in my luggage when I am able to visit a knife show, a BCCI meeting or anything else in the U.S.A. again sometime.

I'd say if the blades are in good shape its a great deal-the bodies appear
to be in good shape as far as the picture shows.

I would think you got a great deal. I was doing special projects when we did the liberty knife. The little coin medallion in the pewter handle is made from actual material salvaged when they gave the statue a face lift in the mid-80's.

Haebbie,

I like your picked brown bone 505.

I've been collecting the 500 series and so far have the Micarta complete, the Birch/Script complete except the 503, and just getting going with the stag/script. I only have the 500 and 503 here.

Fantastic variety in the 500 series.
