OH well, i'm pretty excited that i bought this knife out of the blue from a recommendation from a member on this forum. I wanted a huge folder knife for work and with a pouch to carry it in, not in the pocket. Next, i was wondering if any of you have this knife would like to share some pictures or just plain b.s about it. It'll help because amazon.com says i won't get it until the 11th of december!!! I hope i bought a nice knife! lastly, the buck company seems like a family hunting oriented company, with a life time warranty to back it up, any experience with their warranty service?

I hope you like your Omni when it arrives, let us know, as I don't own one yet. As for Bucks warranty service, you send the knife to them with a note about the problem, and they'll fix it or send you a replacement, that simple.

I gotta admit, I saw this version of the fixed Omni in a store this week for the first time, and really like it!

I have the folder and the fixed blade...i like them a lot. Took the fixed hunting a couple of times and its really comfy. I EDC'd the folder for a couple weeks and I really like it..great belly on the blade.

Nice! On the folder knife, is it very big riding on the pouch? Does it look like a mini bug gun?

I'm getting one for Christmas i think....feel like a little kid again.........waiting...love that girlfriend of mine.......um i mean mrs santa...lol

I love mine! Great piece of equipment, 10 piont model, Realtree. Just what i wanted. Nice sheath.

I've got the small one (10 pt) and think its a fantastic knife. Its especially handy for a quick dress out on road kill. I EDC it quite a bit, but as I don't have a sheath for it, it has to pocket carry, and its a little larger than is really right and should be on the belt. I'm thinking of making some sort of sheath and then it will definately get a lot of use. Anybody got any suggestions along that line, I'm all ears.

I have the Buck Omni 12 pt folding hunter. Great knife and its very light to carry on your side. Carry it horizontal and its alot better. Its one solid knife that I would stake my life on if I had to. Locks up tight very comfortable to handle. I love mine. I do wish I could find a leather sheath for it. Other than that, its perfect for the woods.

I've developed an interest in the 12pt fixed blade Omni. However, I don't want the gut hook version and I've been hoping to try something with 12C27M soon.

So, is Buck going to to be producing the big fixed blade version in Sandvik steel?

I'd also be interested in anyones opinion of the handles ergonomics as I'm sure some on you guys have the 420hc version. Thanks gw

I have the 12pt folder, got it on clearance at Wally world. Havent had the need to use it yet but here are some pics. Seems like a great knife, very sturdy. It fits very well in my hand. Smaller paws my find it too big.

Congrats on your new pick up-hope you enjoy it.

I haven't got it yet Fritz. I'm thinking of the a fixed blade 12pt without a guthook in the Sandvik steel. We'll see, I still haven't picked up a boning knife either. Maybe they'll be my Christmas present to myself.
