I was at the Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Las Vegas, and saw they had these Victorinox SAK marked at $8.99.

The items in the knife were: Large blade, small blade, can opener, bottle cap opener, flat head screw driver, corkscrew, and toothpick & tweezers. Pretty basic.

The red handles were not the glossy red scales typically found on SAK, but more of a matte/sand-blasted finish on a red resin. I like these more as they won't show scratches.

Anyway, my good buy of the day. I love the SAK blades. So sharp.

Its the economy version of the sak. Made by Victorinox with all the same parts just with those scales and the cross is not molded in but a sticker on top of the scales. Can't beat that knife for the money. You will love it.

That is a popular knife here in Denver. 2 different stores (Big 5 and The dollar store) has the same promo. By the time I got to either place they were all sold out!!

Sounds like an economy model Spartan. I EDC a non-economy Spartan, that I paid $3 for, second hand.
