I just bought an INFIcoot

I don't know what they cost new (in the short time they were available), but I feel like I got a good deal on it at $240 delivered. It's mint with the factory leather brown pocket sheath; since it's a limited edition and 'as new' right now, I intend to put it up rather than use it. However, if I were to use it, and if it got damaged, how does the Swamp Rat replacement guarantee work for a discontinued, limited edition knife like this?

The INFIcoot my first Swamp Rat, although I hope to pick up a couple of the Knobganzaa Mil Overrun mini Mojos. I'm still waiting to hear if I'm one of the lucky few who score any of those.
 
The INFIcoot is sweet blade. If I recall correctly they were sold for around $128 supposedly so they would get out of the shop quick so that Jerry Busse could get over the fact that someone cut Bandicoot blanks out of INFI. Therefore they weren't a true limited edition, more like a mistake that we get to take full advantage of:thumbup: . I think $240 with the sheath is a pretty good deal.

As far as the warranty goes I'm not 100% sure. My understanding is that they are guaranteed for life against any harm caused by abuse other than attempting to break the knife intentionally. You may want to PM Eric Isaacson about this. He could probably give you a better answer.

Oh yeah, INFIcoots have been known to slash their way out of vaults, safes and steel gun lockers, so keep it happy by feeding it regularly. In other words USE IT!:D
 
After I first posted, I found threads indicating that that they were only available for about 20 minutes on 3/18/2003 for $128.95 (plus shipping and without sheath):

Considering the limited quantity made, collectible nature, and mint condition of my new knife, I still think that I got a great deal.

warranty, as i recall, they fix it. If its a total loss, and they can make a new one, they will... or you get the $$ it retailed for (don't know if its cash or towards another blade?) or a newer replacement if possible (from a repeat run).

In this case, it would prolly be $$?

Early last year I paid close to two hundred for mine . It came with 2 sheaths; a leather one and a kydex in desert camo. I really like the knife! I think you did good. Enjoy it !
 
My SS4 is my all time favourite knife. The INFICOOT is like it's better looking older brother. I found my SS4 worked much better with a finer sharper edge as the infi steel is tough enough to make it usable.
