I got to handle a BK-2 last weekend at the gun show, thing is I've been tossing up a 2 and a 9 for the last couple months now for my next purchase.. Don't really have the money to be spending right now but I just couldn't help it..(and its on a card does that count:D)

Besides I need to set up a kit in my truck and thought this would fit the bill, I chose this over the ESEE 5 not for the price but because I like the feel of the BK-2 more. To justify it to the wife a little more I did sell an old slippie a while back (of course she doesn't know I bought it yet)...Besides man its been a long time since I bought a knife and I got this dirt cheap.. Lets see what else can I come up with?;)

Bad news though, it will take 5-8 days before I get it..

Just thought I'd share in my excitement..

sweetness! same here, i liked how much more comfortable my bk-2's handle felt compared to the esee-5 (and not just fondling them while in front of the tv but while beating the crap outta them both) so i ended up selling the 5 a few months ago.
 
Its just a great knife at a great price. How could anyone not like that? I've been a proponent of Becker knives for over a decade now, with the BK2 leading the charge. We need to start a thread just for the BK2, I may do that since there are getting to be more of them out there.

Damn good knives. Congrats to all that have them, show'em off, take'em out, and tell people what a great knife it is for $60.

the BK02 is one of the oldest knives in the line, bar none.

there are some older threads on them. dig them up. link them. trot that stuff out . that's what we want to see! stripped ones, custom handles, serrated models, kydex, leather, and eagle industries sheaths, and all that hunky dory stuff.

it's a shame the threads with some of the pictures of the heavily modded BK02s are now defunct, but what can you do?

Me too, and I am getting one of them for christmas. I think I am going with the 9, because it just looks awesome and I'm gonna end up with both of them anyway. I might as well get the (only slightly) more expensive one first so I can buy the cheaper one sooner! :D
 
i hope to get my BK2 at christmas but i may not be able to wait that long i have a BK14 its my EDC i love this thing but i drool for a BK2 i wish one of my local stores carried BK&T i hate waiting
 
best get the Magnum Camp now, while it's Turkey and Roast carving season :)

It's difficult for me to comprehend the ESEE5, in the presence of the BK2. Great purchase and a knife certain to serve you well for quite some time. Pics when you get it, lest a curse be upon your house!
