I just picked up my latest Randall. A Model 5 with a Micarta handle.
As soon as I touched it, I said, "This is a SAR5 with a smooth handle!"
Dangit if it dont' feel similar in the hand.
The balance is far better in the Randall, but I was just shocked at how similar the feel is. All of a sudden, the SAR5 doesn't feel as "thick" as it used to - even tho I don't think it's THAT thick in the first place.
That's all. Plus I wanted another non-Blade thread b/c I'm jealous of all of you.
