Actually it's number three, but this one pleased me the most! The design with the bottle opener and the pommel just kinda morphed as the grind progressed.

The knife is 9 1/4" long with a 4 1/2" blade of 01 steel, professionally heat treated at Peters. The scales are Yellow, OD Green and Coyote Brown Micarta with Toxic Green liners and 1/4" brass pins.

All I have to do is put an edge on it with the Wicked Edge! So here it is for your critiques and viewing pleasure! Jim
Now to clean up a little epoxy here and there and an edge and it goes to its new owner tomorrow! Here is a peak at the one before it!! Shockwood scales!

Turning the choil into a bottle opener is a hell of a neat idea!

I've been poked in the side by a few enthusiastic pommels. Not badly, but enough for it to be uncomfortable, so be careful how you carry your knife.

Looking forward to seeing more!

I love the handles on the second one. I have never heard of shockwood. It looks like maple burl melted with various plastics. Very very cool.

I like both of those knives, although I'm agnostic on the bottle opener. It looks like you used thin stock for the blade, maybe one-eighth or less. That should be a great cutter. The handles are beautiful.

What's the hardness on that blade, and do you know the width of the edge shoulders.

Great work!!

Nice. Be careful if you open a bottle to not slice your hand when prying the cap off.

Hardness 60-61 it's a slicer alright. Bottle opener thing was just something that came about with the grinding. I'm happy with the design for the most part! I'll get this down!!!!!!!!!
