It features the same cast, mostly, as his previous novel, The Camel Club, a band of four very idiosyncratic men who work together to answer questions that puzzle them. The problem is that these "questions" somehow seem to escalate into issues of national security and life or death actions and decisions. They are very tightly plotted and, since Baldacci is a native of the Washington, DC, area, his novels set here have a great sense of accuracy to them, unlike some of which I can think (exit to Annapolis, Maryland, from the George Washington Parkway in Virginia).
