Very nice craftsmanship. My hats off to you straight blade makers man the work it takes.

that's a really interesting don't remember ever seeing handle like that before, shaped almost like it has a pommel, but part of the handle. Still getting used to that, but as always, very well done.

Bruce,

I continue to use the word 'inspiring' as I comment on your work. Well, this time I say the same as before with this exception: I see you and the making of knives becoming one in the same. It appears as an extension of you, as if it is part of you yourself. This is special from my point of view and I hope to someday achieve something within far site of that. You are exceptional in my opinion.

Wow...Thanks for all the great comments everybody.

Rlinger,I feel as if I put all of myself into every blade I make anymore.I can become so close that it is like I can't stop thinking about it.

ETP777,If you get a chance take a look at some books with pictures of the antique Bowies, you will see all kinds of new and exciting things, actually not new but new to us,they did some amazing work back in the 1800's and they are fun to figure out how they did them and then make them.

Very nice!! - if that's the level of craft you're showing , I think the judged will be impressed. After following your work for the last year, I think I have a sense of all the hard work and effort that has gone into your knives....Good luck!

Bob

Excellent workmanship. The details are outstanding. Congratulations.

The world is truly at your feet! :)

Will do that as I get time Bruce. Maybe tomorrow, as I'm going to get a library card, hopefully. :)

Oh Man! If thats one of your judgeing knives, you ought to nail it! I am very impressed with the dog bone handle, looks like it's staight out of Sheffield, only better!

That is one of the best knives Ive seen by any maker. You have really nailed the essence of the days of gone. The patterns, styles and materials used in the 1800s were unequaled until just recently and you are on that cutting edge of accurate recreating of the great pieces. You have that passion that great makers possess and Im just damm glad to have you as a friend. Good work Bruce.

See Ya thursday, Drive safe.

Bruce you are unequalled. I can't wait to see that and your other awesome work at Blade. It's you who is responsible for my own passion for the old bowies. Hopefully you can help me start to fill in my library! Thanks for the inspiration. And good luck in the judging Bruce!

Beautiful work Bruce.I still fondle my stellar sea cow bowie all the time. Tell Donna the new hairstyle looks great. Not that there was anything wrong with the other.

Fantastic, the whole thing is a testiment to all your hard work. Best of luck at the judging, though I think your knife making can out run luck anyday. Enjoy the show and thanks for sharing.

I have to agree with all the above posts -- that is an absolutely beautiful knife.

My hats off to you again. Your level of craftsmanship is truly inspiring. Thanks for showing all of us. Good luck at the show!
