last night a friend told me my friend frosty was in the hospital after getting sick a few days ago. they operated on him for an obstructed bowel when they found out that he has colon cancer which had spread all over. they removed what they could of it but the doctors gave him 6 months. he has a wife and a 12 year old daughter. send some smoke their way if you would please.

Prayers and good thoughts for your friend. I am really sorry to hear this.

i am going to donate half the money from any knife i sell to help them out. his wife works at wallmart so this will help out a lot. any extra added will go directly to them and greatly appreciated. (i talked to spark and he said this would be ok to post) thanks everyone.

Done.

Right now the bright side is that he does not have to look for a good friend!

frosty is supposed to get out monday. dad said he was looking pretty good considering when he stopped by to see him yesterday. its going eat up what money she has driving 30 miles one way so any money raised will help out quite a bit.

i thought i would post an update on frosty. he started chemo and radiation therapy a few weeks ago and is getting along ok. the money i have been giving him has helped out a lot since its 40 miles to the hospital one way. i want to thank every one who has bought a knife or is getting one made.

Sorry to hear it brother.

I lost my Dad and Grandfather to this.

-Now, I'm just awaiting my turn.

Fatalistic, perhaps. But no less sorrowful. I don't relish the prospect. I simply expect it. This is life.

Smoke sent.

Sorry I missed this before. Richard, I sincerely hope your friend is doing as well as he can. Smoke and prayers sent from my part of the world. If anything can help, please let me know.

Matt

Richard, this seems like the year of cancer. I notice a lot of it here in community. When my brother was diagnosed, it just drove things home. Hope he stays positive. I find comfort in what my squad leader told me, "When its your time, its your time Freeman".

My godson's grandpa was found to have colon cancer last week. Fortunately it was contained and removed. Lost another old friend some 2weeks back from Ovarian cancer and another friend past away last week from lack of will to live after her hubby died some 2months back.

i was down at frostys tonight and another friend stopped in. frosty told us that the doctor said if he takes the treatment there is an 80% chance the cancer wont return and he will live a normal life. he has a total of 6 months of treatment. tomorrow he goes in for his port since the type of chemo he is about to take has a tendency to blow out veins.

Great news! Hope he does well...
