Hi All,

I'm new here and have become recently interested in pocket knives. I have a small collection of some inexpensive stuff and enjoy it very much. Today i got the Case Sodbuster Jr in the mail and actually I quite like it. It's my first Case knife too. I think it will be comfortable to carry.

Cheers,

Rafal

I agree. Some of my other favourites I have are Opinel, Buck 301 and Victorinox Pioneer.

I really ought to try a Buck slip joint. My first Buck is coming tomorrow. A 110.

Sodbuster Jr was my first case, too. Maybe.

Well i guess no ones said it so I will lol. welcome Rafal you have come here to the place where you make good friends and where wallets come tho die!!!!!!!

The SB just feels perfect in my hand. Still have the one that was my first Case from an old hardware store in Columbus, Ohio (now long gone).

Glad to hear that you like it. The Sodbusters, are pretty ergonomic, and capable of most anything. I consider them to be a sort of jack of all trades knife, that's kinda oriented towards utility. Did you get the Yellow Delrin or the Black stainless ? Both are fine, however I've gotta say I'm partial to the Yellow Delrin/CV.

I've got the yellow CV. I can't put it down:D

About the Buck slip joints, I love the 301. I got it for Christmas. I do think, however, that I'll send it back for warranty. The springs seem very weak, there is a lot of blade play and the spay blade binds vs sheep's foot. I really hope that Buck can fix it since I like this knife so much. The size is just and I love the black/shiny silver colour:)

I forgot to mention, Thanks for all the replies and warm welcome. It's a nice place here.

Cheers,

R.

You've got great taste. Yellow Delrin and CV is grand. I just wish they'd bring back the full size Yellow Delrin/CV Sodbuster from years past. About the 301, while play is one thing Bucks are notorious for softer springs, it's just kinda a Buck attribute.

Welcome to the forum.Im quite partial to the soddies myself. If i could only have one knife ( : it may well be a yellow sodbuster jr. with CV steel.

I just picked one up at a big box hardware store for store $22 4 days ago, the only complaint I really had war the edges on the spine were vere sharp so I took a diamond hone to the back of the blade to soften the edges a bit, put a sharper edge on the blade and she was ready to go.

Ya got a good EDC work knife. :)

I like the etch they put on the stainless models. Don't have one though.

Had and somehow lost a yellow Sodbuster Junior. I replaced it with a Sod Buster. Great knives and not to expensive. Used the Soddie to skin a buck, did a great job at it. :)

Hi All,

I've been looking at the Jr. Soddie more and more. I really like the blade. It actually has a nice concave grind and a very slight clip. I user it today to cut up some apples and sharpen a pencil:)
