I just got a new full size Benchmade Grip 551 today

This is my first Benchmade and WOW I am so amazed by this little beauty. I can fondle this blade all day. The axis lock is now my favorite locking mechanism that I have tried, tri-ad lock a distant second. I am totally sold on Benchmade now!

I share your love for the Griptilian, mainly the 555 and Mini Ritter. The Mini Grip is just an all around great knife for me, wish I would of bought one sooner probably would of saved me quite a bit of money. I agree with your statement on the Axis lock as well very nice.
 
Koverchenko, congrats on your new Grip. They are really really nice knives. Although when I first got my 553 the Axis lock was kinds stiff. But after playing with it a bunch it loosened up and is as smooth as silk now. Come to think of it I haven't EDC this for a while. Gotta get it back into rotation. On a side note, not that you will ever need warranty or service on your knife, but if you ever do, you will see that this is where Benchmade is head and shoulders above other manufacturers. A+ customer service. Enjoy your new knife :thumbup:
 
Congrats on the Grip. I just got my first Grip about a month ago, they are incredible quality for the money spent. I opted for the standard 551 with satin smooth edge, these things open like butter. I carried a pardue auto at work for 9 years, it stopped working about 2 years ago so converted to Spyderco Enduras. This grip opened my eyes back up to Benchmade.
 
I love the mini grip . Can't say the same for the large 551 . Blade looks nice but the plastic handle feels cheap . The handle to blade ratio just doesn't do it for me . I don't like it :barf:
