I got my first victorinox in the mail today. Since I bought it on ebay I want to ask if it looks real, or if you can see anything suspicious with it.

And here you can see the layer on top of the aluminum fading away. There are marks like this all around the knife, though not as intense as in the picture.


The marks don't bother me, I'll carry this knife so it'll look a lot worse. For the price of EUR 13.50 I can't expect it to be completely free of cosmetic flaws. I like it a lot and I will most likely get more victorinox knife later.
 
It looks genuine. Those marks on the edges are on all the alox knives. A nice single blade knife. I always wanted to get one of those and put an easy-opener notch in the handle so it can be pinched opened.
 
That sounds like a good idea and an easy project. Might just get a new one and do it.

Thom, no not until now... but it´s on my short list and I´ve almost seen it in some store, it seems I need to hurry a little before they´re sold out forever. But I have a Wenger Soldier SI originally packed :D
