I just got some new knives. Knife works!

Just got back from the smokey mtn knife works. I picked up some new knives....

Smith & Wesson CK6m 7.99
s&w ckhbs 6.99 (no blade play and full serrated, got 3 of them)
Buck 760 buck whittaker 19.99
Kersahw Groove 59.99

Got couple of minor cleaning things. And everthing until the 4th is 20% off so I got it all for 100 dollars. I didn't feel like it was too bad about 49 for the groove.

Anway I think the groove is very well built nice. I looked at the delica spyderco and I just can't get into that brand I know everybody loves them lol.

Anyway thought I would share. Happy new years!
 
One of the best knife deals I got was a S&W Homeland Security Tanto through SMKW for $29. It sold for that price for a long time and I bought a few and gave some to friends. Then, boom, it went up to $39 and has stayed at that price ever since. Still a very underrated knife IMHO.

You'll love that groove! Mine flips like R.J.'s custom, I swear. (polishing pivot, re-oil/lube, polish washers)

I hope you have better luck with the S&W folders--took me exactly 13 to finally stay away from them.

Yes, I broke/wore-out/faulty blade/something hazardous each blade until I finally got myself a real knife, which was a Kershaw Blur.
 
The groove I'm loving it, but it says march 07? I seen one post here where it didn't get the newer steele until junly? Should I return it?

So do I just need to oil so it will flip out better? Do I need to loosen the screw?

The S&W are not great. The full serated ones for 6 bucks seem ok.

The sale is until the 4th what the door said and is for everybody. 20% period even like that clearence buck I got.

Some S&W folders are junk. Others are gems. One tip is to go for the ones that had higher retail prices, but are now being sold for $7. That, though, doesn't always work as I got one of their Magnesium knives (made in Taiwan) and liked it so well that I picked up a bunch on sale for $5 apiece. Alas, these were made in China and were garbage. The Hawkbill folders, going for $6.99, are bargains, I think. I've really liked mine.

Thats the exact one I got 3 of! I think its well made compared to the others.

Yesterday I picked up a CRKT M16 knife first one of that brand seems pretty good so far.
