What a great knife, havent tested it yet,but seems easy to carry and quality is obvious. Will order 4''vg1 Voyager too, serrated as well.Love these clip point hollow ground blades, and am planning to use them really hard.My 10year old El Hombre made in Japan model has been through use and abuse cutting everything in sight.Never failed me,is easy to carry and this Nogales point is devastating in cutting soft materials (meat, etc).Love old style voyagers. If anyone has Vaquero Grande for sale let me know please. That knife looks like a beast.Any stories of old style voyagers use, abuse??All input welcome.

I love the old Japan stuff. One day when I was shore fishing for trout I pulled out my x2 voyager flicked it open and cut some leader material. The family next to me gave a disgusted look packed up and left.

There was just 2 left, one xl and one large voyager, in vg1 serrated.I prefer plain edges, but will regrind these once theyre dull.EExcellent knives, like it better than new voyagers or spyderco enduras.

Resharpening Cold Steel's serrations with the Lansky sharpener is pretty easy, if a little time consuming. Grinding off the serrations completely will leave the blade looking decidedly odd.

Yes, but not as bad as you might think. Serrations are illegal, here. Any saw blade or similar on a knife is illegal the the Gestap...er...police will get you for it. I had to file off the serrations on one of my CS knives. It turned out better than you might think.

Could you tell us where"here" is, please? I've never knowingly been to any place where serrations are illegal.
