I just had a funny thought: Who has the sluttiest Sebenza?

We all know that there is always a secondary market for quality knives, and the Sebenza might be the posterboy for that concept. Every Seb I've ever seen posted on the forums for a reasonable price has been snapped up within a day. Often, the sellers state they were not the first owner. This got me wondering, has your Sebenza been around the block a few times? I purchased a small seb then traded for a large one, so mine has one previous owner. Does anyone know that their Sebenza has had more than one previous owner? How about 2 or more?

Also, Chris Reeve doesn't count as a previous owner... unless he used it. :)

I've seen seen a few of my past Sebbies pop up for resale here and there. The last being last week on EBay. Funny.

Some of them are very unique. Damascus, scales, mods... but many are indistinguishable from one another barring distinctive wear marks. It would be interesting to mark one with invisible ink or something and see where it ends up. If they had serial numbers, we could set up a tracking website. :) It would be neat to know the history of our knives.

Lol......funny topic. Most of my crk are from the forums or ebay and were owned by several people. I have bought a few new though. Though not a sebenza, I recently got a shadow 4 with sawback that I have seen bounce around on ebay for years. Well, now its finally mine and staying put as I am giving it a permeant home.

As for my "sluttiest" knife......lol. I have a small Bob Dozier folding hunter that I saw bounce around on the forums through at least 6 people before it hit my door where I am hoping to give it the permeant home it deserves.

Happy New Year

That is a funny topic! haha
I had to think about it, but essentially all but one of my knives are hoochy-mamas. I purchased them all used except for one.

small seb comes from a forumite, new in box only fondled
small insigno (coming) will have it's 3rd owner as the first sold it immediately and the second sold it even before it arrived to him, he took pics and shipped it

There is a large regular that someone pimped and had large jimping added to the scales. I've seen that one for sale at least 4 times. It just popped up again like a week ago.

This one's got some pretty round heels. It was sold twice just a week apart, and the previous owner wasn't the first by any means. It's from 1997, so no telling how many people it's visited. Doubt I'll ever sell it, though.

Unfortunately, I've been the John for a few of these gals - including the one Lone Wolf has. Never would have let that go if the Proto Umnum hadn't popped up suddenly. I know of two previous retail owners before me and Wolf.

In all honesty tho, I've only seen a couple of the ones I've passed along show up again here on the boards.

"hoochy-mamas" made me crack up, Lisa!

The only non hoochy-mama in my collection, unless one would consider her international escapade into Canada to an authorized dealership a romp on the wild side :)

Don't forget that this one also went through Lisa before it got to me. :D

If that counts then all of mine get an extra trick counted for coming over here to Afghainstan with me, right? :p

This little hussy has been through 4 johns in the last few months alone, no telling how many others before I first spotted it making the rounds. I kept missing it by a few minutes, but it's finally headed my way.

That one's a beauty, congrats!

Hey all, I'm giving this thread a resurrection bump in honor of Lone Wolfe mentioning this thread. I looked it up and thought it was neat enough to bump. Additionally, the Hawk that I bought new from BladeHQ, then LW got it from me, seems to have flown the coop, thus making it onto this list also.

I'm curious where its journey will lead...:)
