opening up the packaging with another EDC that I have lying around my desk! It's only a cheapie CRKT Drifter that is replacing a Kershaw Chill that I gave to a friend, but I feel better about having it in my knapsack again for some reason.

I have as much fun opening and playing with the inexpensive ones as I do the spendy ones. Fun is why we do most of this stuff after all.

I so look forward to the arrival of a new knife that I get as excited as a little girl. At my age that's quite the undertaking. And no, it matters not the cost of the knife. Yeah, fun/form, and function are responsible for my blade lust.
